An approach to practical, model-based science lessons

Darshan Lal Baweja, a science teacher in the Government Sr. Secondary School, Alahar village, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana believes that practical methodology is a powerful teaching strategy that imparts students with reflective thinking skills. His students have experimented with and worked on more than fifty practical science models, made out of no-cost, recycled material. Based on reflection, refraction and deflection of light, Bernoulli’s, Archimedes, Newton and Pascal law and Inertia, these models have enhanced the learning experience of students and helped them understand science concepts faster.
